India’s 69th Republic day was celebrated at DPS, Udhampur with great reverence in the school.
The Day began with special assembly followed by flag hoisting by the Chief Guest of the day Dr. J.C Gupta Pro-Vice Chairman DPS, Udhampur. After the flag hoisting a beautiful cultural program was presented by the students which included patriotic songs, skit, dance and speech.
The Pro-Vice Chairman spoke eloquently about the diverse nation and the relevance of the constitution and the preamble. He enthralled the audience with inspirational stories and reiterated the need for being resolute in our path to achieve for our gods. He also congratulated the principal, staff, students and parents for securing “Indian Education Network Excellence Award 2018” for being the Best Emerging School and Best in school curriculum. He stated that after years of hardwork, dedication and discipline, DPS Udhampur has landed this coveted position that school very much deserved. He said it’s just the beginning of recognition of the work done by the school, there are more laurels to come in the future.
The staff and students enjoyed this proud moment along with great celebrations of Republic day. Overall the program was great success.
