Students of DPS, Udhampur out shine in third National Underarm Cricket Championship organized by Underarm Cricket Association of India at Vasco,Goa from 10th Jan to 11th Jan,2018.
Eight students of the School Participated in the tournament, the Captain of the team was Mannat Sharma(VIII) and the rest of the team members were Danish(VII), Aryan(VIII), Sanuj(VII), Ritvik(VII), Abhimanyu(VI), Varun (VI) and Aayush (V). The Kids were meticuluous at their performance in the ground. The team DPS,Udhampur secured 2nd Position at the National Championship. Mannat Sharma the Captain of the team has been selected in Indian Underarm Cricket team Championship that will be held later in Bhutan.
The Pro-Vice Chairman of the School Dr.J.C.Gupta congratulated the winners along with the Sports mentors, Mr.Makhan Singh Chass and Mr.Rohit Sadotra. The Pro-Vice Chairman stated that Games and Sports Play a vital role in over all development of children and championship like these, develops a sense of friendliness among the children and develop their team spirit. It helps children to develop their mental and Physical toughness. He quoted that “ Children should actively participate in Sports to avoid being tired and lethargic”
He once again congratulated the students for their fantastic efforts and wished them all the best for future.
