Baisakhi, the harvest festival of Punjab was celebrated with fervor and enthusiasm at the Premises of Delhi Public School, Udhampur. The day started with a speech delivered by Tanisha Mankotia from XII followed by a beautiful Poem recitation by Amanpreet from class IX. Tiny tots were dressed up in beautiful attires gracing the occasion. A whole set up of Punjabi culture and tradition was visible on the day. Beautiful scene of Punjabi village was created to showcase the vivid and rich cultural and rural life of Punjab. Pakhi, Madani, Manji, Chajj were displayed on stage which made the occasion more authentic.

Different traditional food items Makke di roti, sarson da saag,lassi were displayed to give the environment a complete outlook of our rich culture.

Vibrant and enthralling performances of Bhangra and Giddha were given by the Punjabi Gabru’s and Mutiyars of the school which msmerised the audience.worthy Principal, Mr Kunal Anand Addressed the students highlighting the religious importance of the festival. He asked the students to take a vow that they should remain intact with the rich culture of India under any circumstances. The whole school wore the festive look of rich Punjabi Culture. On the whole the Baisakhi celebrated was enjoyed by one and all.
