Mother’s Day was celebrated at DPS, Udhampur by the students of classes Pre- Nursery to II who expressed their love affection and esteems for their mother through a beautiful cultural program.

This cultural program held a message that a Mother is definitely the truest friend and best guide any child can have. Apart from the cultural program the mothers had a fun-frolic day by participating in various games organized for them. The name of the winners of the various games were as follow the name of the winners of flower arrangement was Ms.Anuradha. winner of Best Out of waste was won by Ms. Harjinder Kour. Salad making was won by Ms.Nimisha Feria. FB contest was won by Ms. Vinita Salaria mother and Ms.Nimisha got the prize for maximum likes on FB. The winner of ethic wear was Ms.Nirmala and runner up was Ms.Siloni. the winner of Indo –western wear was Ms.Pooja Gupta and runner up was Ms.Mehak Gulati. The dance competition was won by Ms.Bandana Gupta and Ms. Saloni

The chief guest of the occasion was Ms.Isha Gupta (SHO. Women Cell Udhampur). she spoke highly on the Mother’s participation and congratulated the principal of the school Dr.Kunal Anand and his educators in her address and appreciated the homogenous efforts of mothers in raising their kids. She also praises the mothers for trying to be innovative. She blessed all the participants and wished school best of luck for its future endeavor

The Pro-Vice Chairman of the school Dr. J.C Gupta extended his warm wishes to the mothers. He said “Mothers are our guiding force and are responsible for making us who we are”.No language can express the power and beauty of a mother’s love, which is infinite, limitless and vast.

The Principal of the school Dr.Kunal Anand in his address stated that Mother is the substitute of God on earth. A good mother is patient and self sacrificing. She sleeps not while her little one is awake, and she is worried when he is ill. He wished all the mother’s and ask God’s blessing on them so that they can continue their demanding role until the end.

The program ended with light refreshment which was given to the super Moms.

Overall the programme was a great success.
