Expressing concern over the increasing filth near the “Pandu Mandir” at Krimchi Manser, the students of DPS, Udhampur as a part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan that has been initiated by honourable Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi and CBSE, cleant the premises as well as outside area of the Temple.
Consequently, the students accompanied by the staff members, cleaned the garden area as well as outside area of the temple. The students divided the task amongst themselves with some cleaning the roadsides and others removing the hazardous waste plastic form the garden. A part from this cleanliness drive a small dance enactment on importance of clean and Green environment was done by students of primary class.
The Pro-Vice Chairman of the school Dr. J.C Gupta stated “Our students are whole heartedly involved in CBSE’s school sanitation project; the aim behind this cleanliness drive was to teach students the importance of keeping their surrounding clean. He further added that the students involved in the activity also learnt the importance of team work through this, besides being exposed to the menace of littering, some forms of which are extremely hazardous for the environment as well as human health and well being and need to be dealt with an iron hand.
Hence activities like these educate as well as groom young generation
(i.e students) of India.
