NATIONAL AWARDS

1. DPS Udhampur honored with National School Excellence Award
DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL UDHAMPUR is honored to share recent achievements of this prestigious institution that has set a bench mark in all the fields’ one can imagine; school is excelling not only in academics but in extracurricular also. Only half of the academic session is over but list of achievements is endless as recently the institution has won the “NATIONAL AWARD FOR SCHOOL EXCELLENCE” on the occasion of 13th Education Summit, 2019 held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi . The award was presented to Chairman DPS Udhampur Dr JC Gupta and MD Mr Vivek Gupta.

2. DPS Udhampur won the National Award for "Excellent School for Excellence in Senior Secondary Results in J&K" at the 2nd National School Education Summit & Awards 2019 at Committee Room A, Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on 15th Oct 2019. The award was presented by Hon’ble Dr. Malcolm Johnson, Deputy Secretary General, ITU a UN body to PVC Udhampur Dr. JC Gupta & Managing Director Mr. Vivek Gupta.

3. Managing Director DPS Udhampur Mr. Vivek Gupta was conferred with an AWARD FOR “OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION TO EDUCATION SECTOR" at Vigyan Bhawan New Delhi on 15th oct 2019 through the benign hands of Dr. Malcolm Johnson, Deputy Secretary General, ITU a UN body.

4. Vice Principal DPS Udhnapur Mrs Sucheta gupta was honoured with an award for “EXCELLENT CONTRIBUTION TO EDUCATION SECTOR" at the 2nd Education Submit and awards held at Vigyan Bhawan New Delhi by Hon'ble Shri Antriksh Johri, Director-IT, CBSE & Dr. Malcolm Johnson, Deputy Secretary General, ITU a UN body

5. DPS Udhampur bagged the award for BEST School of the year award at the 2nd International Educational symposium & awards 2019 held at Chandigarh on 29th Sep. 2019. The award was presented by Mr Troy D Cline, Director STEM Innovation from NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, USA and Padamshree Dr. V. Adhimurthy from ISRO.

6. Three Teachers of Delhi Public School, Udhampur has got recognition on National Platform for their immense contribution in the field of education. Ms. Rakhee Gupta (CCA Coordinator, PGT Pol.Sci), Ms. Sonali Sharma (TGT Math, SOF Incharge) and Ms. Pooja Gupta (PRT Science) have got National Awards, on 8th of September in a function organized by CED Foundation in Delhi where renowned personalities from Politics & administration were present to grace the occasion Dignitaries Present were former cabinet Minister, Mr. Sharad Yadav, former Governor of Kerala & Karnataka, Mr. T.L.Chakerverti, & Dr. Dheeraj Mehotra.

7. Delhi Public School Udhampur has been awarded for Exemplary Contribution to the Holistic Growth of Children “TOP 50 SCHOOL of India” at the 8th National Conference for School Leaders at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi on 19 July 2019.(Ms Sucheta Gupta, Vice-Principal taking Award on Behalf of DPS Udhampur).

8. Mr. Vivek Gupta, Managing Director, Delhi Public School Udhampur was awarded with “INNOVATIVE EDUCATIONIST OF INDIA AWARD 2019” at the 8th National Conference for School Leaders held at India Habitat Centre , New Delhi on 19 July 2019.

9. Mr. Vivek Gupta, Managing Director Delhi Public School, Udhampur has received “Indian Pride Awards-2019 “ for Educational Work presented by Mr. Sarvesh Saroha, Managing Director & Dr. Gaurav Sharma Managing Director Trendsspire Solutions Organisation, Sonipat, Haryana 131001 on 13 July 2019.

10. DPS Udhampur won the Award for “Excellent education institution(IT category) on the Occasion of 13th National Education Summit and Award 2019 on 10th May 2019 at Vigyan Bhawan,. PVC DPS Udhampur, Dr JC Gupta & MD Vivek Gupta received the award at a glittering function held at Vigayan Bhawan New Delhi in the presence of following dignitaries.

Gitoku-Kai-Karate-Do Championship

DPS Udhampur shine in Gitoku-Kai-Karate-Do Championship, held at Rotary club Jammu. This is the highest level of competition of karate organized that was organised by Rotary Club, Jammu on 06/12/2018. This Competition brought some of the best young and raw karate talent on one platform. It was a neck to neck competition amongst young talent. Each participant was possessing the qualities of a champion. Students from Delhi Public School emerged as the winner by leaving others behind and bagging Gold,Silver and Bronze medals. Tejal Mahajan from class 3rd A got Gold medal Dhruv Singh from class 6th got silver medal. Krishive Saraswat from class 4th B got Bronze medal.

Annual Inter DPS Schools Science Fest

Students of Delhi Public School UDHAMPUR participated in Annual Inter DPS schools Science Fest The Science Rendezvous 2018 held at DPS Mathura Road, New Delhi on 24th Nov. 2018. A team of 6 students along with PGT chemistry Dr Mohita & PGT Physics Mr Kewal Sharma accompanied the students . Around 70 schools from across the length and breath of the country participated in this mega event . The Students of DPS Udhampur brought Laurence to the institution by winning 9th Rank among 70 schools. Students participated in Fun with Science, Science quiz and Science Spiration model making competition. The students were highly appreciated by the judges and DPS society members for putting up a wonderful show. Its worthwhile mentioning here that this event is exclusive designed by Delhi Public a School Society, New Delhi.
The Pro Vice Chairman of the School Dr. JC Gupta congratulated the Team of winners and highly appreciated the teachers for their great work. The name of participating Students are ADITYA GOEL -VI-B, MUSKAN SHARMA-VII-A, RITIVK SARSWAT-VIII-A, HARIDHYANSH-VIII-B, MANNAT-IX-B AND SOUMYA-IX-B.

District level Athletics

The sports meet is a great opportunity for students to unite, rejoice, introduce and represent themselves. This would be a chance to not only perform but outperforms and reenergizes themselves . With this objective athletic association, Udhampur organized District level Athletics meet ,2018 at Subhash Nagar Sports Stadium on Nov,12TH and Nov 13th ,2018 for different age categories students of Delhi Public School UDHAMPUR mesmerized the audience by their outstanding performance and once again brought name and fame to the school.
JASMEHAR SINGH of class VIII won GOLD MEDAL in Shortput and immersed as District level winner . He is also selected to represent his state in the Nationals to be held in Andhra later this month .

State level Roller Skating Championship

Champions are not made in play ground Champions are made from something they have deep inside them a desire, a dream, a vision. Roller skating is a sport, an art form, a life style and a culture. Roller skating is the perfect way to combine fitness with fun. It helps people develop a fitness habit with a sport that is enjoyable for all ages. State level roller skating championship 2018 was organized by skating association of J&K from Nov 10, 2018 to Nov 12, 2018 at Jammu. The students of Delhi Public School, Udhampur were able to portray the talent and won gold medals. List of the winners is mentioned below:-

20 Kabaddi Competition

"Success is no accident. It is the hard work, preservance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all love of what you are doing or learning to do ". Students of DPS, Udhampur bring laurels to the school by securing third position in the under 20 Kabaddi Competition organized by District Udhampur Kabaddi Association. The main aim of organizing the competition was to make the society realize that kabaddi is not just a sport but a gateway to empowerment. It not only develops physical fitness but boost the confidence of the girls.

Roller Ball Skating Competition

Students of Delhi Public School, Udhampur brings Laurel to the School By emerging as winners in Roller Ball Skating Competition held on 22nd Oct, 2018. The Event was organised by District Roller Ball Association, Udhampur. This was the second Roller Ball Skating Competition in which various Schools participated. All the schools participated with great zeal and zest. It was a neck to neck competition between all the teams. The teams that finally made to the finals were DPS,Udhampur and KC Gurukul and after a very tough fight, hard work, dedication and team spirit it was DPS,Udhampur that emerged as a winner. Undoubtedly it was a treat to watch the players playing.
The Students who participated in the Under-17 Cateogary were: Sannat Abrol(Class-XI), Sanjay(Class-VIII), Abhay(Class-X), Ajay(Class -X), Girish(Class-X) and Amar(Class-IX) The students who participated in the Under-14 cateogary were: Dhruv (Class-VI), Akshit(Class-VIII), Nilesh(Class-VIII), Tanishq(Class-VII), Dinkar(Class-VI) and Aarav(Class-VI) SSP UDHAMPUR Jenab Rayees Mohammad Bhat(IPS) decorated the winners with Medals.

National Taekwondo championship

The Students of DPS Udhampur brought laurel to school by winning medals at the 38th open National Taekwondo championship organized by District Taekwondo Association at MA Stadium Jammu Two students participated in this competition which was held on 3rd October,2018 and 4th October,2018. Anshita Kudyar of class V A and Sneha of Class XI won Silver Medal and bronze Medal.
The Chairman of the school Dr. J.C Gupta congratulated the students for their extra ordinary performance as well as the coach Mr. Udhay Singh for his true guidance. He said that he has firm believe in the abilities of his Kids and in future also the students will do their best. The Principal of the school Dr. Kunal Anand stated that There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure. We at DPS Udhampur will keep on producing extra ordinary results in Co- scholastic are too. He wished the students best of lick for their future endeavors .

Eighth District Taekwondo Competition

Students of DPS,Udhampur brougt laurels to the School by securing various Medals in the Eighth District Taekwondo Competition held at Sansar Palace , Udhampur on 8th September and 9th September 2018 .The event was organized by District Taekwondo Association Udhampur .The students under the guidance of their Coach Mr. Udhay Singh were outshined in the championship.
The students who secured Gold Medals were Suhana (VII), Sneha(XI), Tejjal (III), Abhay(XI) and Anshita (V).
The Silver medals were secured by Pranav (XI) and Arush(V) The Bronze medals were secured by Dhruv(VI), Amarpreet (IX) and Astika (V)

Shooting Competition

Students of DPS, Udhampur bring laurels to the School by securing various Medals in Shooting Competition held at SMVDU, Katra Stadium on 21, August 2018. The event was organized by District Udhampur Rifle Association. The students under the guidance of their Coach Mr. Makhan Singh Chass was able to outshine in various categories of Rifle Shooting and Pistol Shooting event.

Two days Roller Skating Competition was organised at District Level in JAMMU on 17 August, 2018 and 18 August ,2018. Students of Delhi Public School earned 6 medals in the competition including 3 Golds , 2 Silver and 1 Bronze. List of the Winners is mention Below:-

International congregation of EDU LEADERS

The principal of DPS UDHAMPUR, Dr Kunal Anand was recently honoured by CED ( Centre for Education Development) at the International congregation of EDU LEADERS held recently at Banglore. Dr Anand was also a panel speaker on the same conference, where he spoke about "21st century schooling system and its challenges ." Dr Priyadarshi Nayak Head of CED honoured Dr Anand on this special ceremony.
Delhi Public School, Udhampur bags prestigious National Award for " Outstanding Board Result" DELHI PUBLIC School Udhampur once again nails it by securing the national award for Outstanding Board Results for session 2017-18. The School was presented with this prestigious honor at the 4th International Congregation of Eduleader organized by Centre for Education Development (CED) at Bangalore recently.

The Principal of the school Dr. Kunal Anand received the award on behalf of the school. The award was presented by Mr. M.M Panth renounced educationalist, author & motivational speaker. It was a proud moment for team DPS, Udhampur that its team and its Principal were recognized for their flawless work. This success shows that when a team joins hand together their smart work and dedication brings fruitful results.
The Pro Vice Chairman of the school Dr. J.C Gupta congratulated his team and all stakeholders for this achievement. He stated that achievement of any institution seems to be connected with great hard work and good team spirit. The school will keep on bringing such wonderful results in future also and this saga of collecting award will continue. He wished all the family members of DPS Udhampur best of luck for their future endeavor.

It is worthwhile mentioning here, that the school secured 100 % board results for class X & XII and also produced District topper for Class 10th from udhampur. DPS udhampur is working tirelessly for uplifting the education standards and imparting quality education for the students of Udhampur.
